Technology that supports daily work

Give everyday IT a clear owner and a practical plan.

Unreliable Wi-Fi, slow computers, missed updates, scattered accounts and uncertain backups can interrupt work across the business. As users, locations and applications grow, support needs to become more structured.

Scripture IT helps you understand your environment, resolve priority gaps and organise ongoing support. We connect infrastructure planning with day-to-day operations, so installations, maintenance and future improvements follow an agreed direction.

What do these services cover?

IT infrastructure is the foundation: computers, networks, servers, storage, cloud environments and the services that connect them.

Managed IT services are the ongoing responsibilities: helping users, maintaining covered systems, coordinating incidents, reviewing performance and planning improvements.

An AMC is an annual maintenance contract. Its coverage depends on the agreement and may focus on selected equipment, preventive visits or support activities.

Managed support operations

A support process your employees can understand.

Knowing where to raise an issue, who owns it and what happens next is as important as the tools used to resolve it. The support process is agreed during onboarding.

Log & Classify

Record the affected user or service, symptoms, impact and relevant evidence through an agreed support channel.

Prioritise & Assign

Assess urgency and business impact, assign responsibility and identify any vendor or access dependency.

Resolve & Coordinate

Troubleshoot within the authorised scope, communicate progress and coordinate an onsite visit or specialist escalation if needed.

Confirm & Improve

Validate the outcome with the user, record the resolution and review repeated incidents for longer-term improvement.

Useful reporting can include: open and ageing requests, response performance, recurring incidents, maintenance activity, patch exceptions, backup failures and actions that require a business decision.

People, systems & change

Support the full operating lifecycle.

IT administration works best when everyday changes follow a repeatable process rather than relying on individual memory.

Employee Changes

Prepare approved accounts and equipment for new starters, update access when roles change and revoke it during offboarding.

System Changes

Document the reason, impact, owner, approval and rollback approach for changes to covered infrastructure.

Lifecycle Planning

Track warranties, subscriptions, capacity and product-support status to plan renewals and replacements.

Service Handover

Agree the transfer of documentation, configuration records and administrative access when a support arrangement changes.

Security & business continuity

Maintenance should support protection and recovery.

Routine IT operations can help strengthen access control, maintain important systems and make recovery responsibilities clearer. Controls are selected for the environment and the risks involved.

Access with Accountability

Use named accounts, appropriate permissions, approved support tools and multi-factor authentication where available.

Maintained Environments

Coordinate updates, review configurations and document exceptions where business applications or vendors constrain changes.

Recoverable Information

Define backup sources, retention and protection, then test restoration of selected files, systems or services.

Prepared Response

Document contacts, escalation routes, approved containment authority and business recovery priorities before an incident.

Recovery starts with business priorities. Agree which services matter most, the target time to restore them and the acceptable period of data loss. These targets guide the design and testing; a successful backup job alone does not prove that every system can be recovered.

Service scope & response expectations

Know what is covered before you need support.

A service-level agreement, or SLA, records the responsibilities and response expectations for your arrangement. We define these against your business needs and the resources required to deliver them.

Covered Environment

Document the users, devices, servers, networks, applications, cloud accounts and locations included.

Clarify: Supported versions, third-party dependencies, asset ownership and exclusions.

Hours & Support Channels

Agree when support is available and how requests, alerts and urgent issues should be raised.

Clarify: Business hours, holidays, onsite visits and any separately contracted after-hours cover.

Priorities & Escalation

Set priorities by business impact and urgency, with escalation paths and communication responsibilities.

Clarify: Response targets, restoration aims, update intervals and vendor escalation.

Response time and resolution time are different. A response acknowledges and begins handling the issue; restoration or resolution may depend on diagnosis, access, replacement parts, approvals and third parties. Around-the-clock monitoring or response is included only when specifically agreed.

Infrastructure projects

Build and improve the foundation alongside ongoing support.

Project work can address a specific change while routine IT operations continue under their own agreed responsibilities.

New Locations & Expansion

Plan network access, devices, shared services, security configuration and support readiness for a new office or branch.

  • Requirements and site-readiness checks
  • Installation and supplier coordination
  • Connectivity and user-acceptance testing

Upgrades & Modernisation

Replace or reconfigure ageing components and improve capacity, manageability or application support.

  • Network and Wi-Fi improvement
  • Server, storage and endpoint refresh
  • Virtualisation and management-tool deployment

Migration & Consolidation

Move suitable workloads, accounts or data through a planned transition with validation and handover.

  • Email, server and file migration
  • Cloud and hybrid-environment transitions
  • Cutover, rollback and stabilisation planning

Documentation & visibility

Know what you own, how it works and who supports it.

The agreed deliverables make the operating environment easier to understand and help your team make informed decisions.

Asset & Service Register

A record of covered equipment, users, services, owners and relevant supplier information.

Network & Configuration Records

Useful diagrams and configuration summaries for covered network and infrastructure components.

Support & Escalation Guide

Clear request channels, priority definitions, contact responsibilities and escalation routes.

Backup & Recovery Procedures

Documented coverage, schedules, responsibilities, recovery steps and agreed test results.

Service & Maintenance Reports

Visibility into completed work, outstanding issues, operational exceptions and recommended actions.

Improvement & Renewal Plan

Prioritised recommendations for capacity, licences, warranties, replacements and longer-term changes.

Practical business applications

Support shaped around your working environment.

The examples below illustrate possible scopes. They are not client case studies or guarantees of particular outcomes.

Small & Growing Businesses

Bring devices, accounts, connectivity and backups into a documented support arrangement as the team grows.

Offices & Professional Services

Manufacturing & Engineering

Manage office IT, engineering workstations and authorised production-adjacent infrastructure in coordination with plant teams.

Education & Training

Plan and maintain administrative systems, computer labs, campus connectivity and approved user-access policies.

Industrial boundaries are agreed separately: Live machine control, safety systems, PLC changes and intrusive testing are not treated as ordinary desktop or network maintenance. Such work requires an explicit specialist scope and operational approvals.

Engagement options

Choose a support model that fits your team.

Each option is tailored through an agreed scope. Service hours, covered assets, tools, licences and onsite requirements determine the final commercial proposal.

Frequently asked questions

Choosing IT infrastructure and managed support.

What is included in managed IT services?

The agreed scope can include user support, device and server administration, network management, monitoring, maintenance, backups and reporting. Your proposal identifies the users, assets, applications and locations covered, together with service hours and exclusions.

How is managed IT different from an AMC?

An AMC often focuses on maintenance and support for selected equipment over an agreed period. Managed IT can include broader recurring responsibilities such as administration, monitoring, reporting and improvement planning. The actual coverage depends on the contract, not the name alone.

Can you support a business without an internal IT team?

Yes. We can scope an external support arrangement around your environment and nominate business contacts for approvals, priorities and coordination. The proposal defines what Scripture IT manages and what remains with your organisation or other suppliers.

Can you work with our existing IT employees and vendors?

Yes. Co-managed support can cover selected responsibilities, technical escalation or projects while your team retains internal ownership. Roles, access, changes, escalation and documentation are agreed between the parties.

Do you provide onsite and remote support?

Both can be included. Remote work requires authorised access and suitable connectivity. Onsite availability, locations, visit schedules, travel costs and response arrangements are confirmed during scoping.

Is support available 24 hours a day?

Service hours depend on the agreement. After-hours support, continuous monitoring and around-the-clock response are separate coverage decisions and should not be assumed unless expressly included in the signed scope.

Do you support cloud platforms and office-based servers together?

Yes. A hybrid scope can cover selected on-premises systems and cloud services. Compatibility, subscriptions, provider responsibilities and administrative permissions are reviewed before onboarding.

Are hardware, replacement parts and software licences included?

Only when stated in the quotation or contract. Device purchases, replacement parts, warranties, software licences, cloud consumption and third-party subscriptions may be charged separately from support services.

Do you manage backups and test recovery?

Backup services can include agreed data sources, schedules, retention, monitoring and selected restore tests. Recovery priorities and testing scope are documented. SaaS retention, file synchronisation and a successful backup job do not by themselves establish a complete recovery plan.

Can we keep our existing infrastructure?

We assess what can be retained, supported, upgraded or reconfigured. Replacements are recommended where capacity, compatibility, product support or risk makes them appropriate, and material changes are agreed before implementation.

How are support charges calculated?

Charges depend on user and device counts, servers, locations, application complexity, service hours, onsite visits, monitoring tools, backup requirements and required response coverage. An assessment helps define a proposal with clear assumptions and exclusions.

How do we start, and what happens during handover?

Share a high-level inventory, locations, approximate user count, current support arrangements and main concerns. Onboarding covers agreed access, contacts, tools, priorities and documentation. Any later exit or provider handover should also define the transfer of records and administrative access.
