Business-focused security

Protect the systems your business depends on every day.

Cybersecurity is not only an antivirus product or a one-time audit. It involves people, processes, technology and clear responsibility.

Websites, customer records, business email, ERP and CRM platforms, cloud accounts, office networks and industrial systems each carry different risks. We help you understand those risks and organise improvements around business priorities.

Our approach connects assessment with remediation, staff awareness, operational procedures and ongoing review. The goal is to reduce exposure, improve visibility and strengthen your ability to respond when something goes wrong.

Testing scope

  • Public-facing websites and customer portals
  • Internal business applications
  • Mobile applications and supporting APIs
  • External and internal infrastructure
  • Cloud configuration and identity controls
  • Wireless and remote-access environments

Assessment deliverables

  • Retest status where included in the engagement
Black-box testing Grey-box testing White-box review Authenticated assessments Configuration review

Written authorisation is required. Testing starts only after scope, asset ownership, permissions, testing windows, data handling and stop conditions are agreed. Potentially disruptive tests require separate approval. Production OT systems require additional operational and safety review.

From findings to protection

Implement controls across the environment.

Security findings are useful only when responsibilities and corrective actions are clear. Implementation work can be included alongside assessment or commissioned separately.

Applications

Secure configuration, authentication improvements, dependency management and remediation support.

Information

Classification, access restrictions, encryption, retention rules, backup protection and controlled sharing.

Governance, risk and compliance

Prepare your controls, processes and evidence for review.

Compliance-readiness services help identify gaps, assign ownership, implement controls and organise evidence. Requirements are selected according to your organisation, customers, sector and jurisdiction.

Customer & Supplier Assurance

Support security questionnaires, customer due diligence, vendor assessments and evidence requests using verified organisational information.

Policies & Operational Controls

Establish access, acceptable-use, incident-response, backup, change-management, supplier-security and information-handling procedures.

Readiness is not certification or legal assurance. Scripture IT’s scope is consulting and technical implementation. Independent certification, attestation or specialist assessments must be performed by appropriately qualified bodies or professionals. Legal applicability and interpretation should be confirmed with qualified legal advisers. Relevant versions, effective dates and sector-specific obligations are reviewed for each engagement.

Practical documentation

Monitoring hours, on-call availability, response targets, tool licences, retention, investigation depth and authority to take action are specified in the service agreement. Continuous or 24/7 coverage is not implied.

Incident readiness and business continuity

Prepare people and systems before an incident occurs.

An effective response requires current contact information, decision-makers, tested recovery options and agreed procedures for handling evidence and communication.

Prepare

Identify critical services, escalation contacts, responsibilities, playbooks and specialist support requirements.

Coordinate

Establish a controlled response process, track actions and support authorised containment decisions.

Recover

Support restoration planning, validate recovery readiness and coordinate system return with business owners.

Improve

Document lessons, review contributing control gaps and track corrective actions after the incident.

Specialist forensic investigation, legal advice and regulatory reporting support are separate requirements to confirm during scoping. This page is not an emergency-response channel.
Industrial and operational technology

Security that respects production, availability and safety.

Industrial environments may include PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, engineering workstations, historians, MES, remote gateways and legacy equipment. Changes must be planned around operational constraints.

  • Inventory and communication-path review
  • Separation of office and operational networks
  • Controlled vendor and engineering access
  • Backup review for configurations and engineering assets
  • Patch planning with equipment and system owners
  • Incident and recovery procedures for plant environments

Passive review is preferred where appropriate. Active testing, scanning or configuration changes on production control systems require explicit operational approval and a risk-reviewed plan.

Delivery process

  4. Implement

Apply approved improvements through controlled changes, configuration and process development.

  5. Validate

Retest agreed findings, review evidence and record remaining risks or accepted exceptions.

  6. Maintain

Establish ongoing review, training, monitoring and improvement activities appropriate to the engagement.

Business environments

Frequently asked questions

Planning cybersecurity and compliance work.

What is included in a cybersecurity assessment?

The assessment reviews the systems, access controls, configurations, documentation and security practices agreed in the scope. Deliverables identify findings, business risks and recommended actions.

What is the difference between a vulnerability assessment and penetration testing?

A vulnerability assessment identifies and prioritises potential weaknesses. Penetration testing uses controlled, authorised testing to validate selected weaknesses and their impact. The appropriate approach depends on the environment and objectives.

Will testing disrupt our website or business systems?

Testing can carry operational risk. Scope, testing windows, exclusions, backups, contacts and stop conditions are agreed in advance. Potentially disruptive activities need specific approval. Zero disruption is not guaranteed.

Can Scripture IT help fix issues found during an assessment?

Yes. Remediation can include configuration changes, access controls, patch coordination, application fixes, process improvements and security-tool implementation. Remediation and retesting are included only where agreed in the scope.

Do you issue ISO certificates or SOC 2 reports?

This service covers readiness, implementation and evidence support, not independent certification or attestation. Certification and formal assurance reports require the appropriate independent body or qualified professional.

Can you support privacy and data-protection readiness?

Yes. Support can cover personal-data mapping, technical safeguards, access and retention controls, documentation and privacy-workflow implementation. Legal applicability and interpretation should be confirmed with qualified legal advisers.

Do you provide 24/7 monitoring or emergency response?

Availability and response commitments depend on the contracted service. Monitoring hours, on-call arrangements and response targets must be explicitly agreed. This page does not imply 24/7 or emergency-response availability.

Can you assess industrial networks and SCADA environments?

Yes, through a separately scoped, safety-aware engagement. Production constraints, equipment support and operational approval are considered before active testing or configuration changes.

How are confidential information and assessment findings handled?

Before work starts, the engagement defines approved access, confidentiality, secure transfer, evidence handling, retention and deletion arrangements. Access is limited to the agreed purpose.

How much do cybersecurity services cost?

Cost depends on asset count, complexity, testing depth, locations, integrations, documentation, remediation and support requirements. Scripture IT provides a proposal after scoping.

Can an assessment guarantee that we will never be breached?

No. An assessment is limited by its scope, methods and timing. Security work reduces risk and improves preparedness, but no assessment, tool or provider can guarantee that incidents will never occur.
