Engineering the connections. Supporting the systems.

Practical technology. Clear responsibility.

An IT foundation that supports the way you work.

Slow systems, unreliable connectivity, disconnected applications and unclear support responsibilities can get in the way of everyday business. Buying another device or subscription does not always solve the underlying problem.

Scripture IT brings infrastructure, software and engineering requirements into one practical plan. Whether you are opening an office, improving an existing setup or connecting multiple locations, we start with your operations, priorities and budget.

What is the difference?

IT services keep your people and systems working: user support, device setup, email, network administration, maintenance and day-to-day troubleshooting.

IT engineering designs how the systems work together: architecture, capacity planning, integration, automation, migration, testing and documented handover.

You can engage us for one defined requirement or combine both into a coordinated programme.

Our service portfolio

From everyday IT to complex engineering requirements.

Engineering & project delivery

A working solution—and the documentation to run it.

Good engineering considers the full lifecycle. We define requirements before configuration, validate the result and make the handover understandable for the people who will operate it.

Requirements & Feasibility

Map business processes, current limitations, users, sites, application dependencies and technical constraints before selecting an approach.

Typical deliverables: Requirements brief, current-state inventory, feasibility findings and prioritised scope.

Architecture & Detailed Design

Plan how networks, compute, applications, data and security controls fit together, including capacity and future expansion.

Typical deliverables: Architecture diagrams, sizing assumptions, network plans and bill of materials.

Build, Configure & Integrate

Deploy the agreed components, configure access and connect supported interfaces through controlled changes.

Typical deliverables: Configured environments, integration mappings, configuration records and change logs.

Testing & Acceptance

Check functionality, access, connectivity, performance and agreed recovery scenarios against documented acceptance criteria.

Typical deliverables: Test results, issue register, remediation status and acceptance record.

Migration & Commissioning

Plan cutover around business dependencies, with approved maintenance windows, checkpoints and rollback arrangements.

Typical deliverables: Migration runbook, cutover checklist, validation results and stabilisation plan.

Documentation & Handover

Give your team an understandable record of the deployed environment, ownership, procedures and support routes.

Typical deliverables: As-built documentation, asset register, operating guides and knowledge-transfer sessions.

Industrial & engineering environments

Connect the office and the shop floor with care.

Operational technology, or OT, includes systems that monitor or control equipment and physical processes. Connecting these environments to IT requires attention to production availability, vendor constraints and safety.

Industrial Networks & Access

Design connectivity around approved production requirements and clearly defined boundaries.

  • Network documentation and asset visibility
  • Separation of office, production and guest traffic
  • Controlled remote vendor access
  • Coordination with plant teams and equipment suppliers

Equipment Data & Edge Integration

Collect useful operating data through supported interfaces without assuming every machine can connect in the same way.

  • Data from approved PLC, SCADA and historian interfaces
  • Industrial gateways and edge data collection

  • Backup exceptions
  • Patch progress
  • Capacity concerns
  • Improvement actions

Agree the service level before work begins: Covered assets, users, locations, service hours, response targets, escalation, onsite visits and exclusions are documented. Response time is not the same as resolution time. Around-the-clock coverage, spare parts and emergency callouts are not included unless expressly contracted.

Protection & continuity

Build control into everyday operations.

Security and resilience are part of the design, implementation and maintenance scope—not simply a product added at the end.

Controlled Access

Define individual accounts, appropriate permissions, administrator roles and multi-factor authentication where supported.

Protected Connections

Use appropriate segmentation, approved remote access, maintained configurations and clear ownership of network changes.

Tested Recovery

Agree backup coverage and retention, protect recovery copies and test restoration against business priorities.

Visible Changes

Record approvals, configuration changes, monitoring exceptions and rollback arrangements so support teams can act with context.

Recovery targets explained: RTO is the target time to restore a service; RPO is the target limit on data loss measured in time. Both must be designed, funded and tested for the specific environment. No solution eliminates every interruption or security risk.

Frequently asked questions

Before you start an IT engineering project.

What is included in IT and IT engineering services?

IT services cover everyday support and administration. IT engineering covers the design, implementation, integration, testing and handover of technology systems. Your proposal defines the devices, networks, applications, locations and deliverables included.

Can you improve our existing setup without replacing everything?

Yes. We begin by reviewing what can be retained, reconfigured, upgraded or integrated. Replacement is considered where compatibility, capacity, supportability or risk makes it appropriate, and changes are agreed before implementation.

Do you work alongside our existing IT team or suppliers?

Yes. A co-managed engagement can divide responsibilities between your team, Scripture IT and existing suppliers. Access permissions, escalation routes, approvals and ownership are documented to reduce gaps and duplication.

Do you offer remote and onsite support?

Remote support and planned onsite work can be included according to the location, system access, skill requirements and agreed scope. Coverage areas, visit schedules, travel costs and service hours are confirmed in the proposal.

Can you supply hardware, software and licences?

Procurement support can include specifications, product comparison and supplier coordination. Any hardware supply, software licence, subscription, warranty or installation responsibility must be explicitly included in the quotation.

Do we have to move everything to the cloud?

No. On-premises, cloud and hybrid approaches are evaluated against application requirements, connectivity, data needs, budget and operational responsibilities. The proposed approach should fit the business rather than assume a full migration.

Can you work with factory equipment and industrial systems?

Industrial IT work can include approved network, gateway, data-integration and reporting requirements. Access and changes are coordinated with plant owners and equipment vendors. Control-logic changes, machinery commissioning and safety-system work require a separate specialist scope.

Will upgrades or migration cause downtime?

Some work can be phased while other changes require a maintenance window. The plan records expected interruption, dependencies, data protection, communication, validation and rollback arrangements. Zero downtime is not assumed or guaranteed.

What is included in an AMC or managed IT agreement?

The agreement can include helpdesk support, preventive maintenance, monitoring, patch coordination, backup checks and reporting for named assets. Service hours, response targets, onsite visits, replacement parts and exclusions are documented. Around-the-clock support is included only if expressly agreed.

How are cost and project timelines decided?

They depend on users, sites, assets, application complexity, integrations, procurement lead times, access, migration needs, testing and support coverage. Assessment leads to a scoped proposal with milestones, assumptions and identified third-party costs.

Will we receive documentation and training?

Documentation and knowledge transfer are agreed as project deliverables. They can include architecture and network diagrams, asset records, configuration summaries, operating procedures, recovery guides and administrator or user sessions.

What information should we share to get started?

Share your business type, locations, approximate user count, key systems, current difficulties, desired outcome and preferred timeline. A high-level inventory is useful. Do not send passwords, private keys or sensitive production data in an initial enquiry.
