Your connected business
Coordinate workflows · Track outcomes
Less repeated work. Better connected information.
Make your systems work together around your business.
An online order should reach the right team. A confirmed payment should update the right record. A stock change should reach the channels that depend on it. A new employee should receive the approved access they need.
We turn these requirements into defined connections between applications, cloud services, databases and approved industrial systems. Start with one high-impact workflow or plan a wider integration programme across departments.
API integration, in everyday language
An API is an agreed way for one application to request information or an action from another.
An integration connects the systems and makes sure the information is matched, checked and handled correctly.
For example: a customer places an order, the verified payment updates its status, the order reaches fulfilment and a tracking update reaches the customer.
A complete integration service portfolio
From one connection to a coordinated business platform.
Choose API development, application integration, workflow automation or ongoing support. We review the actual software editions, interfaces and permissions before confirming the delivery scope.

What this means for your business
Everyday workflows, connected from start to finish.
These examples show the kinds of processes an integration can support. The final workflow follows your business rules, available interfaces and approval requirements.
Enquiry to Sales Follow-Up
A website enquiry reaches the CRM, is checked for an existing contact and is assigned to the correct salesperson.
Business purpose: keep enquiries visible and reduce repeated data entry.
Order to Delivery
An online order receives a verified payment status, reaches the fulfilment system and receives shipment tracking updates.
Business purpose: coordinate sales, accounts, warehouse and customer communication.
Field Service to Billing
A technician submits a job report through a mobile app. After review, approved work updates the service record and billing workflow.
Business purpose: connect work completed at the customer site with office operations.
Employee Joining to Access
An approved HR event starts account provisioning and application-access requests; later role changes or exits update the same process.
Business purpose: make access changes traceable and reduce forgotten accounts.
Production Data to Business Reports
Approved gateway or historian information reaches dashboards, maintenance records or ERP reporting through controlled interfaces.
Business purpose: help office and engineering teams work from connected operational information.
Partner Portal to Operations
A distributor submits an order against approved account terms. The ERP processes it and returns availability, status and dispatch information.
Business purpose: reduce back-and-forth between partners and internal teams.
A practical integration design
Capture the event. Check the data. Complete the process.
A connection needs more than a successful API call. We define what starts the workflow, which records it can affect and how the outcome is confirmed.
- Receive & Verify
Identify the source, authenticate access and validate the request or event before processing it.
- Match & Transform
Map fields, match business records and apply the agreed ownership and approval rules.
- Process & Confirm
Call the destination, handle its response and record whether the intended action was completed.
- Monitor & Recover
Track failures, investigate exceptions and recover work through agreed retry or review steps.
Designed around the real workflow: we account for repeated events, expired credentials, missing fields, provider downtime, conflicting records and requests that time out after a destination has already acted.
Choose the right connection method
The approach should fit the process and the systems.
One project may combine direct APIs, event processing, middleware and scheduled data exchange. We compare the operating effort and dependencies alongside the initial build.
| Approach | Useful when | What we define |
|---|---|---|
| Direct API Connection | A small number of systems need a clearly defined exchange or action. | Authentication, field mapping, error handling, rate limits and maintenance ownership. |
| Webhooks & Event Processing | A supported business event should trigger work without waiting for the next scheduled check. | Event verification, duplication, out-of-order delivery, queueing and recovery. |
| Middleware or iPaaS | Several applications need shared mappings, orchestration or centrally managed connections. | Connector availability, transformation rules, deployment, licence costs and monitoring. |
| Scheduled or File-Based Exchange | Batch updates suit the business need or an application offers limited integration interfaces. | File formats, secure transfer, processing windows, validation and reconciliation. |
| B2B / EDI Integration | Trading partners exchange structured orders, acknowledgements, invoices or shipment information. | Partner specifications, identifiers, transport methods, acknowledgements and exception handling. |

- Schema, type, size and allowed-value checks
- Webhook signatures and replay checks where supported
- Destination restrictions and controlled resource usage
Safe Retry & Duplicate Handling
Account for requests and events that may arrive more than once.
- Idempotency or deduplication where applicable
- Bounded retries with backoff and rate-limit handling
- Review of ambiguous transaction outcomes
Recovery & Reconciliation
Make it possible to find incomplete work and recover it in a controlled way.
- Queues and failed-message review where needed
- Record counts, totals and status reconciliation
- Authorised replay and corrective-action runbooks
Visibility & Accountability
Give the responsible team enough information to understand the health of the connection.
- Correlation IDs and searchable error records
- Success, latency, backlog and data-freshness measures
- Alerts, escalation routes and change history
For sensitive business actions: payment capture, refunds, user provisioning, stock adjustments and other material changes receive explicit permission and approval rules. Industrial integrations follow the site’s engineering and change-control process.
Data quality & ownership
Agree what the data means before moving it.
Two systems can use different names for the same item, or the same name for different things. We document the business meaning and matching rules before building the exchange.
Define the Source of Truth
- Which system owns each customer, product, price and status
- Unique identifiers and rules for matching existing records
- Field mapping, units, currencies, dates and time zones
- Conflict handling for two-way synchronisation
- Rules for deletion, archiving and retained history
Make Exceptions Visible
- Missing, invalid or inconsistent information
- Duplicate records and repeated update loops
- Partial transactions and updates arriving out of sequence
- Historical-data imports and reconciliation checkpoints
- Named owners for review, correction and sign-off

Prepare for a useful first discussion
Tell us what should happen when your systems connect.
You do not need a finished technical specification. Explain the business task, the applications involved and the problem your team wants to solve.
We can help turn that requirement into a process map, check the available interfaces and identify the decisions needed before development starts.
Useful information to share
- Application names, editions and current owners
- The process you want to connect or automate
- What data should move, and in which direction
- Approximate daily volumes and required update frequency
- Available API documentation or a vendor contact
- Current errors, deadlines and support expectations
Use anonymised examples during initial discussions. We arrange an approved access method when technical assessment requires credentials.

Combine integration work with the development, cloud, security and support services your business needs.
Frequently asked questions
Planning an API or system integration project.
What is an API, in simple language?
An API is an agreed way for one application to request information or an action from another. For example, a website can ask a delivery provider for a shipment status without giving a customer access to the provider’s internal system.
What is the difference between API development and system integration?
API development creates or improves the interface that other applications use. System integration connects applications, maps their data and coordinates the process between them. A project may need a new API, an existing connector, middleware or a combination of these.
Can you connect software we already use?
Yes, subject to a feasibility review. We assess the product edition, available APIs or connectors, vendor permissions, data access and required workflow. We then confirm what can be connected, any limitations and the work required.
What if our software has no API?
We first look for vendor-supported connectors, exports, imports, secure file transfer or approved database access. Screen automation may be considered for suitable tasks when permitted, but it can be more sensitive to interface changes. We explain the maintenance implications before selecting an approach.
Can we synchronise data in both directions?
Where the systems support it, yes. We define which application owns each field, how records are matched, what happens when both sides change and how duplicate or repeated updates are handled. Two-way synchronisation needs these rules to avoid update loops and conflicting records.
Will all information update instantly?
The update interval depends on the available APIs, event delivery, data volume, provider limits and business need. We may use event-based, scheduled or batch processing. The agreed design specifies the expected delay, how freshness is measured and how missed updates are recovered.
How do you protect API credentials and business data?
The design includes controls appropriate to the scope, such as server-side secret storage, encrypted transport, scoped access, record-level authorisation, validation and sanitised logs. We separate test and production environments and agree retention, access and review responsibilities.
What happens when a provider is unavailable or sends the same event twice?
We design the relevant flows to detect repeated events, apply safe retry rules and record unresolved failures. Queues, reconciliation and controlled replay help recover work when supported by the systems involved. Recovery behaviour is tested against agreed business cases.
Can you integrate payments, subscriptions and refunds?
Yes. Scope can include an approved provider’s checkout, verified payment events, subscription updates, refunds and reconciliation. Provider onboarding, supported account features and applicable approvals must be in place. Sensitive actions use agreed permissions and approval rules.
Do you offer industrial and manufacturing integrations?
Yes. We can scope approved information exchange between gateways, historians, MES, maintenance software and ERP systems. Production changes require coordination with the responsible engineering team, agreed network boundaries and controlled testing. Safety and real-time control functions remain with their designated systems.
How long does an integration take and what does it cost?
Effort depends on the number of systems, workflow complexity, API quality, data cleanup, security requirements, testing and vendor dependencies. We provide milestones and a scope-based estimate after reviewing the requirement. Provider subscriptions, transaction charges and hosting are identified separately.
What will we receive when the project is completed?
The agreed handover can include the implemented connectors or APIs, data maps, configuration, documentation, test evidence, deployment instructions and operating runbooks. Source-code ownership, repository access, third-party components and ongoing support responsibilities are defined in the proposal.
Can you repair or take over an existing integration?
Yes. We begin with access to the code, configuration, documentation and relevant logs. An assessment identifies immediate faults, unsupported dependencies and operational risks before we agree remediation, migration or ongoing support.
Do you provide maintenance after launch?
Yes. Support can cover monitoring, incident investigation, provider API changes, credential rotation, fixes and approved enhancements. Support hours, escalation routes, response targets and included change capacity are agreed in the service scope.
